Working conditions
Group project (3 Game designer + 2 Game programming)
The project took place mostly telework, during the second confinement of 2020. We designed 1 level divided into 3 arenas as well as a lobby , explaining the main mechanics of the game. I also took care of the graphics part (modeling / 3D animation / juicyness).
Having already experienced the concepts of teleworking before this project, I was able to start this one on solid foundations.
Project
The general intention behind BuddingKnight was to mix a 3D Brawler with Tower Defense mechanics, all with platform . We have integrated these elements through the mechanics of the pots : throughout the game, the player will have to protect the pots and plant seeds in them in order to more easily defeat the enemies.
The graphic part and the feedbacks have been designed in such a way as to facilitate information gathering for the player: the interface provides an overview of the pots to protect, the inventory, the enemies as well as their appearance and the overall progress of the party through simple indications, each coupled with sound effects .

In terms of Game design, we created several documents:
- a One Page Document, summarizing and presenting the game
- a Gameloops Document, presenting gameplay loops (goal/challenge/reward)
- a 3C Document, presenting the camera, the character and the controls
- a Level Design Document, allowing to analyse and balance the diffrent levels
- a Features List, presenting the game's features
- a Stucture Document, summarizing Game design's structure
